Health & Safety Guidelines

Welcome Back to DANCE! – What we are doing to ensure the health and safety of all dancers and studios attending our rescheduled events in 2021!

Rainbow remains committed to producing a world-class dance competition and ensuring we have the best team in the business to make the “new normal” an event of a lifetime. We are confident you will be impressed and amazed by our efforts to go above and beyond as we resume LIVE DANCE COMPETITIONS.

From the bottom of our dance hearts, we would like to personally thank you for the continued loyalty and support, the cooperation you have shown during this unprecedented time has definitely been appreciated and does not go unnoticed. The past several months have been unlike anything we have ever experienced, and it has encouraged us to evolve and think outside of the box. We strive to continue to bring you the service and quality you expect, even if it may look a little different than it has in the past. As cities and states begin to share plans to reopen, we would like to share an update on our current situation and let you know how we are planning for the future. Our goal is to ensure the health and safety of our guests as we support our clients in successfully navigating through these challenges. We are also working closely with a task force in preparation for the re-opening, and putting together formal guidelines that will ensure we remain compliant with CDC, State and Local mandates.

UPDATED LIVE COMPETITION FORMAT: SINGLE or Limited Studio Entry and Competition – meaning that studios and registrants would be allowed in the theaters based on a timeline, about 1/2 to 1 hr prior to their scheduled performance time slot. A strict schedule would be required to be followed by all registered studios, performers and families. Each venue will vary in total occupancy guidelines; we anticipate being able to allow 1-2 adult chaperones per dancer plus the dance studio staff into the venue. All attendees WILL BE REQUIRED to wear a face mask or PPE at all times while in the venue. Only dancers will be permitted to remove the face covering while performing LIVE on stage. (This is venue specific; we must follow the protocols and guidelines the venue provides)

Dance Studio owners will provide the order for all performances. Please note there can be ONE studio or MULTIPLE Studios in the building at any given time. NO parents or spectators are allowed in the backstage area.

After each studio performs and competes on stage they will take home their General Placement and Adjudicated Awards. All Overall High Point and Specialty Awards will be presented virtually via our YouTube page on the Tuesday after the event. The link will be available by 12 Noon PST.

To further assist, Rainbow will be adding more staff to each event to help manage our new protocols, add sanitation stations, add signage, and provide additional overflow spaces as waiting areas to accommodate groups based on that schedule.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS THAT WILL TAKE PLACE AT EACH EVENT FOR YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY:

CLEANING & SANITIZING: We will be cleaning and thoroughly sanitizing between studios and/or sections. Rainbow will partner with a top-notch janitorial distribution company, to provide the best and most efficient products available for cleaning and sanitizing our competition space, utilizing effective products for combatting COVID-19. These include disinfectants for floors and high touch surfaces, sneeze guards, social distancing signage, bodily fluid spill kits, etc.

PREVENTATIVE MEASURES: As the health and safety of all involved and attending our event are of the utmost importance please know that extensive measures have been implemented that include wearing masks/PPE (personal protection equipment), health screening for staff members, and touchless infrared thermometers.

MERCHANDISE: The Merchandise Team will not permit the trying on of our garments. All sales are FINAL. Social distancing will be enforced and encouraged.
